Leawood Forest have come to terms with Abdellatif Boukhenoufa to become the manager of the club. Boukhenoufa led the Algerian national team to the championship match against Brazil in this last KCAFF World Cup tournament.
We sat down with the new manager for a few questions.
What made you decide to coach Leawood Forest?
AB: The team’s manager asked me for that position, and because for my good relation with him I didn’t even think about it.
Tell us about your coaching philosophy.
AB: the coaching philosophy for me, it’s same thing like how you behave with life and make it easy. So in coaching more you make simple, more you get a good result for you and for you players. Build a team that can play for the team not for their selves. Help each other on how to develop the skills and have discipline.
Do you have any mentors or role models that have influenced your coaching career? If so, who are they and what impact have they had on you?
AB: There’s so many role models that have influenced me like, it’s start by my first coach in Algeria when I was playing as a kid than growing up with. Playing and watching soccer especially the European leagues and their amazing coaches.
What is your vision for Leawood Forest?
AB: Winning every title we can.
